Inspired and rooted in the traditions of Kurt Weil ,Brecht and Breil, yet counterpointed with a contemporary urban edge from performing on the infamous East London Burlesque scene, combine to give her music a unique mix of timelessness and social relevance.Her performances are spellbinding! fragile, intimate and also soaring emotional uplifting affairs. The passion and conviction of Piaf and Dietrich with the charisma,beauty and glamour of Monroe and Joesphine Baker! Songs of infinite sadness and loss, ambiguously celebrated in a diyonison and bohemian orgy of velvet ,champagne and tears. Folk-Opera! This is Epic Theatre. By highlighting the constructed nature of the theatrical event, Lone communicates that the audience's reality is, in fact a construction and, as such, is changeable.Currently working on her debut album with a formidable songwriting/production team including Jamie Morgan (Neneh Cherry),Youth (Verve,Dido) and TimBran (Julian Cope ,The Orb)on her side it cannot be long surely! before Lone emerges to take her rightful place in the cannon of great artistic icons of our time.Particularly so because she questiones and dissolves many of the accepted practices of what an Artist is at this time and has created a unique vision with her work and performance.Not only a singer songwriter also an actress, illustrator, active painter,producer,designer,writer and poet.
