General

As I said before, I love to read. Some other things I enjoy are sewing, swimming and working out, and I do admit that I spend a lot of time online if its available. I would say that my biggest passion is music. I sing and play flute and a little piano. I am looking into joining the Seattle Women's Chorus in the spring and eventually I would like to join the Navy Sea Chanters.

Music

I like lots of different genre's of music. My favorites are mostly punk rock, alternative, ska, with a little pop music on the side. I also love musical soundtracks. They are fun. And when I say musicals i do mean "Oklahoma" or "West Side Story", "Les Miserables", "Phantom", etc. I especially love "Rent." I am not that big a fan of country though I will listen to the occasional song. And my head can't handle all the beats of rap and hip/hop.

Movies

Just a few of my fav's right now: Gosford Park, Bride and Prejudice, Pride and Prejudice (A&E Version), Stargate, Starwars set, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Pirates of the Carribean (sp?), and the X-Men movies. Yay for the third one coming out!!!

Television

I absolutely loved West Wing. I also like Charmed, Stargate: SG-1 and Atlantis, Family Guy, Mash reruns, Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice, All Creatures Great and Small, and Upstairs Downstairs. In my current netflix queue, I am recieving an older disney series called tales of Avonlea. It's based off the Ludy Maud Montgomery Ann of Green Gables books. It's kind of corny but in a cute way. and I love the scenery of Prince Edward Island.

Books

Ah....Here we go. I am really into fantasy right now. Give me another world completely to lose myself in. My favorite fantasy writer is Mercedes Lackey but I have been trying to expand. Anne McCaffrey has caught my eye. And I am currently reading the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind. I also love period stories. Jane Austen is one of my favorite writers and my favorite book of hers is Mansfield Park. I am also the HUGEST Harry Potter fan. I love those books. So good.

About me:
I am living with my sister while she goes to school and I am currently job searching. I miss my puppy like no other because I had to leave her with my parents until my sister and I can find a place that will allow dogs. I love reading and probably am too much of a couch potatoe. I also really want to get back into shape but am finding the temptation of food is very hard to break. That is all for now.

Mindy	Aug 20 2008 4:23 PM Kim has an aunt in Everett. Kim is getting ready for school. Still no teaching job for me. It's really bad here in CA. I am working back at CLU in the Academic Affairs Office (where I worked as an undergrad). We are going to give it one more year then think if we want to stay here or move to WA.
