.. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. Alexander "Kimo" Eiserbeck was born November 1982 in Freiburg, Baden. He started taking clarinet classes from Matthias Stich at the age of 8, switched to the alto saxophone at the age of 13. His first flute he bought on a flea market in San Francisco at the age of 16. In 1999 he went on a student exchange to Cleveland, Minnesota, USA where he took band classes from Erik Hermanson. He won the Woody Herman soloist award the same year and went on tour with the High School Marching band, which eventually led them to Disneyworld, Florida. After taking classes from Matthias Stich, he took saxophone classes from Jürgen Hagenlocher, while working as a social worker for the Goethe Institut, Freiburg. In 2003 he was accepted at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater, Hamburg to study DME in Jazz and Jazz related music. His professors on saxophone and flute were Ernst-Friedrich Felsch and in the classical genre Klaus Nagurski. He graduated in 2008 and is now teaching and performing in northern Germany. Over the years he has been playing in several different genres (Funk, Hardbop, Swing, Pop, HipHop) and formations (Quartet, Quintet, Solo, Big Band). Former bands and projects: • 1994 – 2002: High School Big Band • 1997: Rock, funk, pop band in Basel, Switzerland • 1999 – 2000: Marching Band in Cleveland, MN • 1999 – 2000: High School Jazz Band in Cleveland, MN • 2000 – 2002: Circus Band in Freiburg, Germany. • 2000 – 2002: Freiburger Schueler Jazz Orchester • 2002: Pop band in Freiburg, Germany • 2003 – 2006: Commercial, House and Pop band “Clubgaenger” • 2003 – 2008: University Big Band • 2004 – 2007: Monthly jam-band to funk records in dance club, Hamburg • 2006 – 2008: Piano Duo • 2007- 2008: Rap projects • 2007 – 2008: Funk and HipHop Band “Shades of Funk” • 2008 - today: Quartet “Hypertonique” • 2006 - today: "Headcleaner Recordings" studio musician.
