Vibrations.
Besides that - haven't got time to write all of them down. So here are two musicians which just came into my head, Hermeto Pascoal and Michel Petrucciani.
Among the living pianists, Kenny Werner and Simon Nabatov changed my head. Bob Dylan is genius too, not to mention Coltrane, Einstein and Mark Twain. Jazz theory is infinitely interesting. I love it.
Vibrations of people, and everything influences me will influence my music in the course of nature.
Japanese born but Irish resident pianist Izumi has performed extensively throughout Ireland as a solo, orchestral and chamber
musician, and broadcast on RTE Lyric FM and RTE 2 television.
Her musical interests span both the classical and improvised music fields and she has
performed with some of the leading performers and ensembles from both disciplines
including the RTE National Symphony Orchestra, the RTE Concert Orchestra, the
Crash Ensemble, Music 21, Michael D’arcy, Ioana Petcu-Colan, Ken Edge, Cora
Venus Lunny, William Butt, and Joachim Roewer from the world of classical music
and with Julian Arguelles, Tommy Halferty, Ed Neumeister and Stéphane Payen from
the jazz world.
Izumi is a specialist in the performance of contemporary music and has given many
premiere performances including the pieces especially written for her.
She is also working on the project of introducing Japanese contemporary music to Europe.
'heroic levels of technical fearlessness, stamina and strengh in a programme dominated by flying, rumbling bass lines, hard-driven rhythms and counter-rhythms, and thousands upon thousands of notes - she also created a breathing, slow-burn climax - with a more reflective, often intimate style of playing'.
'Natural kind of musicianship that never strives too much'.
'Her easy authority made each piece seem to come across as it should - persuasively'.
