Welcome to OurSpace!
Bio:
We've been involved in ministry for as long as we can remember. Helping with Junior programs, Pathfinders, Campmeetings, evangelistic series, song services, and anywhere else God has opened the doors.
With our parents highly involved in youth ministries, we've gotten a chance to see things from the other side of the curtian. Honestly, that's where we prefer to be. We have a desire to lend a hand. To enjoy a ministry for us, is to help a ministry. We feel that that is where God calls us to be.
Though we've been writing since early elementary, the only lyrics you will see are our more recent efforts. :) The lyrics that we have written show the experiences and questions of our friends as well as some of our own. Searching the Bible, as well as our hearts, to express ourselves and God's message.
We've been singing together practically before we could talk and have enjoyed it every step of the way. We look forward to seeing where God will lead us.
Kalicia picked up guitar in the winter of 2006, and with a few pointers from friends, taught herself. Through persistant prayer, her abilities increased, and God blessed her determined efforts.
Kemily's attempts at writing lyrics as a child started off with mediocre words that, although were not publishable, showed her passion for Christ. One of the first songs she wrote included the line "He equals more then you can say."

The Christian’s godly life… must present Christ, not self. Christ… is waiting to impute His righteousness to the sincere penitent, and to kindle in his heart such divine love as only our gracious Redeemer can inspire. Then let us… glorify Him whom we represent, by being faithful to our trust as light bearers to the world. (Our Father Cares Monday- August 4)
“…His word was with power." Luke 4:32. Never before spoke one who had such power to awaken thought, to kindle aspiration, to arouse every capability of body, mind, and soul. (Education: Ch. 8, pg. 81)
When we realize that we are workers together with God, His promises will not be spoken with indifference. They will burn in our hearts, and kindle upon our lips. (The Desire of the Ages Ch. 70, pg. 641)
And every word or deed that through the grace of Christ shall kindle in one soul an impulse that reaches heavenward, every effort that tends to the formation of a Christlike character, is laying up treasure in heaven. (Thoughts From The Mount Of Blessings Pg. 90)
In order for us to be purified, the fire of affliction must kindle upon us, and our will must be brought into conformity to the will of God. (Our Father Cares, pg. 262.)

…When the disciples went forth to proclaim a living Saviour, their one desire was the salvation of souls… In their daily association with one another, they revealed the love that Christ had enjoined upon them. By unselfish words and deeds they strove to kindle this love in other hearts. (The Acts of the Apostles Ch. 54, pg. 547)
Daily revelations of the character and majesty of his Creator filled the young poet's heart with adoration and rejoicing… His mind was constantly penetrating into new depths for fresh themes to inspire his song and to wake the music of his harp. The rich melody of his voice poured out upon the air, echoed from the hills as if responsive to the rejoicing of the angels' songs in heaven…
The communion with nature and with God… the griefs and joys, of his lowly lot, were not only to mold the character of David… but through the psalms of Israel's sweet singer they were in all coming ages to kindle love and faith in the hearts of God's people…(Patriarchs and Prophets Ch. 62, pg. 642)
