Sounds Like “Kind of Blue delivers a solid performance that blends the sophistication of jazz with the everyman accessibility of the blues. Whether you prefer Joe Pass or Joe Williams, Roman and company will make you feel right at home.” - Lori Donovan, Contributing Writer, Blues Revue Magazine “…visionary beyond genre… bridges the zone between jazz and blues with a city slicker style and sound that compares to the late greats… I'm absolutely impressed.” - Bev Conklin, Event Director - Lehigh River Blues Jam ‘’…we loved them. We want them back every year!” - Easton Blues Jam & Festival “…Burnin’! I really enjoyed the experience…” - Pat Martino “It was a blast playing with you! ” - John Popper (Blues Traveler) “I have live entertainment every weekend and they’re in the top two…” - Management, Season’s Grill Restaurant, Kutztown, PA “…seamlessly and effortlessly create both songs and improvs that delve into a listener’s more sophisticated side” - Merge Magazine, Lehigh Valley, 2007 “…Wes/Benson exploration of originals, Miles, Dylan...” - The Morning Call, Allentown, PA “…controlled volume with uncontrolled creativity. They get the crowd’s attention and keep it, so they play my venues regularly” - Frank Wood, Destiny Services, NYC “…a monster on the axe, Roman eats, sleeps, and breathes guitar!” - A.J. Fritz, Host of Fritzrocks WLVR 91.3 FM “Want a beer?!” - Dickie Betts (Allman Bros.)

   About Kind Of Blue
Roman's Kind Of Blue performs blues...kind of. And jazz...kind of. Rock, and fusion...kind of! First slideshow below: KOB's Roman hosting a jam in Allentown, PA featuring Charles Fambrough (McCoy Tyner, Whitney Houston) on bass, Roger Prieto on trumpet (Bootsie Barnes, Ortlieb's Jazz Haus Phila.), Sam LaZare (Fambrough student) on drums. Inspired by the Miles Davis album of the same name that set new standards for improvising with blues, modal, and jazz formats, Kind Of Blue prides themselves on playing unique, creative, and spontaneous arrangements of classics, standards, and originals. Below: at Bethlehem, PA's Musikfest Recently Kind Of Blue went into the studio and like Miles' original Kind Of Blue concept in 1959, the charts were intentionally kept from view until it was time to record. The result is "Blues...Kind Of!" which has received airplay in jazz, blues, rock, and fusion formatted programming. BELOW: Sellersville Theater soundcheck before the Pat Martino and Kind Of Blue show Roman (a.k.a. Matt Roman) on guitar has studied or perfomed with Pat Martino, Tom Kozic (Eddie Rabbit), John Popper (Blues Traveler), Mark Walsh (Sister Sledge) and Bobby Radcliff and has toured the US, UK, and Europe. Allan Meyerson from NYC has worked with Dave Leibman and Lee Konitz, Blood, Sweat & Tears, and has done session work with Grammy-nomnated artists. Bass details have included Charles Fambrough on bass (Grover Washington, Whitney Houston, McCoy Tyner, Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers), Sauvek Zeinseinko (Todd Wolf Band), Ray Grimmer (Brecker Brothers), Steve Rosati (Steve Kimmock), Dave Dreweits (Ween). Drums: Jim Roman (Jay & The Techniques), Gary Rissmiller (Simone, Tony Gairo Orchestra, Skip Wilkins Quartet, Eric Mintel). Keyboards on various performances: "Chicago" Carl Snyder, (Son Seals, Otis Rush, Jr. Wells, Second City TV). Below: radio station WDIY event with Matt & Jim Roman, Ray Grimmer, Allen Meyerson Kind Of Blue is a trio, quartet, or more. KOB is just as comfortable providing fine dining with smooth jazz or rocking festivals with blues and fusion. You may hear anything from Miles to Hendrix. And Kind Of Blue's live show is more. Traditional tones are plentiful, but modern sounds are also used and new soundscapes are explored. Stereo panning, horn electronics, good stage presence with an animated performance, each show resulting in a new version of their originals and classics. From a show stopping festival act to a background dining experience, Kind Of Blue entertains appropriately.

I send you this wish…

I wish you joy beyond compare,
success in all you do.

I wish your goals within your reach,
friendships true and strong.

I wish you gracious wisdom and forgiveness,
when you're wrong.

I wish you nights of wonderous rest.
I wish you strength and courage, and
persistence to be your best.

And most of all, I wish for you more love than most will find, the grandest love in all the world, the everlasting kind!

Wishing you blessings and love for you and your loved ones
today and always!
Tano

Smooth rock/reggae/funk for the thinking and dancing aficionado. Think of Peter Gabriel jamming and partying with Robbie Robertson, Dave Matthews and Jack Johnson in Bob Marley's Hope Road studio.
