Electronic music mostly such as Tangerine Dream, Edgar Froese, Klaus Schulze, Vangelis, Wendy Carlos, Brian Eno, Boards of Canada, Isao Tomita, Larry Fast, Michael Hoenig and Morton Subotnik. Some classical composers such as Prokofiev, Debussey, Steve Reich, Phillip Glass, Edgar Varese, Mozart, Erik Satie and Aaron Copeland have been influential. Rock music from The Beatles, Van Der Graaf Generator, Peter Hammill, PFM, Gentle Giant, Pink Floyd, Yes and Genesis to The Clash, The Residents, King Crimson and Led Zeppelin have made an impression. Country and Jazz performers such as Brad Paisley, Sons of the Pioneers, Keith Jarrett, Herbie Hancock, Soft Machine, Joni Mitchell and Weather Report are some of my favorites.
A one person studio performer, David Ryle has played music since the early age of four. His first song at age six was the critically acclaimed "Monster in the Kitchen". Since then life has been filled with many musical influences ranging from choral groups to experimental jazz, rock and electronic genre. David's first synthesizer was an Arp Axxe mono lead synth. In the 1980's he was able to come to terms with computer music through working with a modular PAIA 4700 and other hardware systems. The advent of MIDI controls and computer PC based workstations has led to more and more creative songwriting experiments.

Thanks for the comment Commander D! Whenever we write I always ask.... Will the Joe's like this? If the Joe's like it then we must be doing something right. Being in Phosphene; I like to think that I had the best of teachers - especially in you, Weems and Kune.
Thanks for the add ~ even though the Qrazy Synth Man had to beat it out of you : )
