**NEW ALBUM 'BEWARE OF THE LIGHT' OUT NOW!**
**NATIONAL ALBUM LAUNCH TOUR NOV 2009 was a slam dunk!**
First pricking up the ears of DJs such as Ame, Trickski, Lindstrom & Prins Thomas and Daniel Wang with his critically acclaimed 12” vinyl releases ‘Adori's Kitchen’ (with Putsch 79 remix) and ‘Movin' In’ (with Brennan Green remix), Sydney producer / DJ / singer Jamie Lloyd has managed to achieve a remarkable amount in the relatively short time he has been involved in electronic music.
Jamie Lloyd’s debut longplayer, “Trouble Within” (Future Classic) received much critical acclaim upon its Australian release with local tastemakers praising it as one of the best electronic albums of the year, drawing comparisons to Matthew Herbert and Jamie Lidell.
"[Jamie Lloyd] takes 80s George Clinton and Arthur Russell-style funk and disco and welds it onto their more recent prodigy - say, Matthew Herbert and Metro Area - to create big thwacking bass lines that rub up against squirming micro-edited bass frequencies, and most impressively, languid, intoxicating songs." - Matthew Levinson / Cyclic Defrost
‘Trouble Within’ was followed up with remix album 'More Trouble' (Future Classic); a collection of dancefloor remixes from luminaries such as Quarion, Brennan Green, Trickski, Zwicker, Soultourist and Jimi Polar among others. These remixes have helped Jamie find his way into the record bags of Steve Bug (Poker Flat), Laurent Garnier (F Communications), Charles Webster (Miso/Defected), Ame (Innervisions), Michael Reinboth (Compost), Llorca (F Communications), Anja Schneider and Jennifer Cardini, with the Quarian remix of ‘May I?’ being featured on Jennifer’s compilation for Kompakt Records in early 2008.
In addition to a busy DJing schedule, Jamie teams up with Noel Boogie in Silent Partner, and he is also collaborating with partner Sui Zhen on an exciting new project called “Little Hat”.

**RED BULL MUSIC ACADEMY 2010 IN LONDON... here she comes!**
Sui Zhen is a young singer / songwriter / composer who has been performing both solo and with her full live band since 2003, supporting the likes of Coco Rosie (USA), Kimya Dawson (USA), The Brunettes (NZ, SubPop), and Malcolm Middleton (of Arab Strap, USA).
Sui Zhen’s solo instrumentation relies solely on the melodies created by her voice and guitar. Her folk-based arrangements are sweet and lyrical, in a voice by turns childish and seductive. The current live lineup is a trio, with Dan Freeman (Fergus Brown) on double bass and backing vocals, and Joe Gould (The Crooked Fiddle Band) on percussion and backing vocals, or the new solo show with Becky playing guitar (electric, acoustic and cuatro) along with looped instrumentation of her new songs and sweet vocals.
Sui Zhen’s self-titled independent EP of sweet folktronic-pop was launched in late 2007 to glowing reviews and national airplay, and she is still very much a performer in demand. Sui Zhen is currently recording her debut album, with producer Tony Dupe (Saddleback, Archer Prewitt, Holly Throsby). The collaboration is proving a very fruitful one, albeit from different hemispheres! Becky is recording the album entirely from her home studio (with newly purchased mic and specially constructed vocal box), while Tony is adding his loops, cello and various other 'Tony' bits from his studio in Berlin, Germany. The album will be released... very soon!!.

PRODUCER / DJ / SCRATCH ARTIST
Noel Boogie is a DJ par excellence, and an amazing young music producer. He recently toured Canada, astounding audiences with his super-dextrous 4-deck set and creating dancefloor mayhem, dropping his own tracks in the mix. Noel then went on a crate-digging expedition in NYC and Colombia and arrived home with a stack of new records. In each of his DJ sets you can expect to hear a selected mix of funk, disco, afro beat, soul, hip hop, breaks, dub, IDM and oddities, all mixed with the precision of a skilled turntablist. Noel’s latest party trick is a solo set on 4 turntables, where he splits tracks into parts for exlusive live remixing, using the other 2 decks for scratching and sound effects. Noel Boogie is also a member of Silent Partner - expect to hear much, much more from this incredible talent.

Silent Partner is a new project for producers Noel Boogie and Jamie Lloyd (and co-conspirators Steeve Body and Jimi Polar), who share a love for making mind-bending disco electronic treats such as their new track “8 bit club” which is garnering props from the likes of Chris Duckenfield and Darshan Jesrani (Metro Area), getting great reactions on the dancefloor in Sydney and also taking Canada by storm on Noel’s September 08 tour. Their semi-live DJ set is a 4-deck extravaganza that has to be seen to be believed!

You're the first person who has acknowledged my soupy sales request. BTW, it's an iggy pop reference: he said that he tried to write pop songs that would win a soupy sales contest. For more on soupy see http://en. wikipedia. org/wiki/Soupy_Sales :)
