The Kindred Tribune is a quarterly newsletter dedicated to vampires,all forms of kin (Other kin) and the Occult.

Dear Friends and Readers,

This is just a small note to let you know that we will be going on hiatus. The Kindred Tribune will resume it's quarterly publication in late 2008 or early 2009. We would like to take this time to say thanks for your continued support and hope that you will enjoy our future issues.

Submissions Guidlines for The Kindred Tribune:

Submissions will only be rejected if they do not abide by the guidlines set forth below. If your submission is rejected, it will be returned indicating the guideline(s) not followed so that it can be resubmitted, however the final submission must still be made before the final deadline.

Due to space and/or other considerations, not all submissions may be able to be incorporated into a given issue. In the event this occurs, the submission may be carried over into the following issue.

• All submissions remain property of the creator/artist/author and they retain the copyright to any and all material submitted.

• Content must either be original work, or the submittor must be legally able to provide the content.

• All submissions must be in electronic form only and be e-mailed to: Kindred.Tribune@gmail.com and must be sent no less than one month before publication.

• Textual content must be in simple text format only (either as an attachment or within the e-mail body). Additional notes and/or markup may be appended to the submission indicate fonts, colors, etc. Images must be either .jpg or .gif format.

• English, please. If your submission includes any other languages (human or otherwise), please provide an English translation.

• Good grammar and spelling is a must. Excessively poor grammar and/or spelling will result in a returned submission with a request to run a spell checker.

• Please be civil. This isn't a forum where you can talk about how much better you are than anyone else.

• A small amount of profanity is fine; just make sure it doesn't comprise the bulk of your writing. (Your mother may be reading this!)

Specific Submission Guidlines:

Nonfiction:

• Submissions should be between 100 to 3000 words; anything over 3000 words may be split and published in consecutive issues. Larger submissions may be considered to be published as a serial.

Photos, Artwork, Humor, Cartoons, Comic Strips:

• To preserve the artistic content, submitors of non-textual content will be responsible to produce actual-size artwork to fit within the size constraints as communicated by the editor.

Fiction and Poetry:

~Fiction~

• Submissions should be between 100 to 3000 words; anything over 3000 words may be split and published in consecutive issues. Larger submissions may be considered to be published as a serial.

~Poetry~

• Length should be a minimum of 3 lines and a maximum of 35 lines.

Reviews for Movies/Books/Clubs/Events:

• Submissions should be between 200 to 500 words. All reviews are to be fair, well-balanced and just.
