Bio
King Capisce are a rock-infused Post-Jazz band formed in 2008 by Tim Feben (Guitar), Roshan Lal (Bass), Richard Harrison (Sax) and Tom Ashfield (Drums). They were joined by Alex Baker (Sax) in early 2010. They incorporate progressive rock, post-rock and jazz into their music, creating an instrumental sound which is melodic, cinematic, experimental and high in energy. .. Their self-titled debut album was independently released 27th March, 2010. Go to www.kingcapisce.com for links to buy it in CD format for a bargain £5! You can also get the Lp from various download stores onine! (But, this costs you more and you dont get the artwork!) .. ========================================= .. 'Walking down to the Main Stage I found King Capisce, a band who've made a huge impact on Sheffield's music scene since their debut performance at Peace in the Park last year. For those who still don't know, King Capisce are a group of four talented performers who come together to make genre-defying instrumental music with jaw dropping dynamism. They didn't disappoint here, seamlessly skating through post-rock, jazz, funk and spacey dub, managing to captivate the mixed and growing crowd despite the challenging nature of their music. A band with the potential to become a popular festival outfit nationwide' - Now Then Magazine .. 'Beauty sung from this bands design. To miss them play in your town is a true crime against music.' - www.citylifers.co.uk live review .. 'Evoking nostalgia through music that sounds alien to anything previous is a masterful feat, and Capisce pull it off with aplomb. Staggering.' - Now Then album review, 2010 .. -
