Kingdom Of Dis was started back in 2002 as a two man black metal project by founding members, Thos and Drah' Kir. After a few months and successful song writing, the two piece chose to expand and find a more professional drummer who could handle the duties that Thos was not made for. Aanval was recruited for this task and made Kingdom Of Dis sound much, much better! A few months later a stable bass player was sought and Nor took that position completing the line-up. Then, with Thos concentrating on Lead Vocals and Guitars, Drah' Kir performing Guitars and Spoken Word, Aanval on Drums and Nor playing the bass, Kingdom Of Dis decided to enter the studio to record their first demo CD.
In February of 2003, "The Celebration of Sin Eternal" was recorded at Villain Recordings. Mixing Black, Thrash and Death Metal influences the quartet was recieved well by many world wide in the underground metal scene. Unfortunately, the demo was only heard on various internet sites and never released officially.
After taking a year off, the band reformed as a three piece without Drah'Kir as his distance from the rest of the band and grinding personal schedule could not permit him to return. The new material that was written was faster, darker, more technical and showed that the band was certainly capable of taking it all up a notch.
In March of 2005, Kingdom Of Dis recorded a three song demo at Arcane Digital Recordings. The demo was called "Rise From Ash" and was a small sample of the unholy debut album of the same name (again recorded at Arcane Digital with Ryan Butler) which is now available through Kingdom of Dis exlcusively.
It is now 2009 and KOD is once more a three piece project. New music is being created and will be recorded this year. Expect something dark!
