Sounds Like
The D.C. Show and GQ.... some people say we sound like Fort Minor, which is alright with me.
King Dylan, the mastermind and driving force behind the alternative hip hop rock group The D.C. Show has got a background no other regular rap group can compete with. Influenced by everything from Heavy Metal like Megadeth, to Hip Hop heavyweights like Ice Cube, and comical geniuses like Weird Al, the result of King Dylan's productions are unlike any other style of music, whether they be solo works or apart of The D.C. Show repertoire. While still the comparisons of Linkin Park and Flipsyde are tossed about, the group is unmatched in hunger, drive, consistency, and ability to relate to the youth and adults of today.
After 10 years of practising and perfecting his craft, Dylan has now released 4 independent albums under his own label Piece Out Records, which are all available on the Piece Out Records Website and have been reviewed in such national and regional media outlets like EXCLAIM! magazine, FFWD Weekly (Calgary) and The St.Albert Gazette.
The King has also performed live on TV with CityTV (formerly A-channel), done countless shows with the City of Calgary Youth Recreation programs, and performed in cities all around Alberta with The D.C. Show. He has also appeared on other albums and compilations such as The Dirty Sample's "Belevedere Sessions" and Neferiu's "I Heart Alberta Rap" CD.
The D.C. Show has finally released it's new album BIZARREMAGEDDON this summer 2008, produced almost entirely by Kingy D Dilly, and it will surely smash your musical tastes into mind-boggling fragments. Whooopaaaaaa!!! Please support, come to all the shows and buy the albums and t-shirts (COMING SOON) you crazy kids!!
Dylan also has experience and credibility with graphic design including CD covers booklets (set to industry standard templates), stickers, and posters. He is a University of Calgary Graduate in the faculty of Communication & Culture with a minor in Visual Art & Art History. Open to new projects and ideas, charging reasonable yet competitive rates, Dylan can efficiently make your next graphic project look professional and stylish. Contact for more info.
