King Famous is here to spread the word about the power of being creative as a catalyst for positive planetary change.
King Famous is a storyteller. Pursuing a miriad of spiritual themes, King Famous creates music and lyrics based on the abstract realities that appear as a by-product of every day experience in Holiday City.(tm King Famous)
Ever evolving and training everyday, King Famous employs traditional performance, music and martial arts as the basis for his storytelling technique. He excells at drumming, lyrics, and beat-making.
King Famous is known internationally for his ground-breaking performances in Japan, Spain and Israel. His 40 Days and 40 Nights New York Tour raised the bar for solo performers everywhere as he played 40 nights in a row across Manhattan.
Without the amazing talent that came before him, King Famous would not exist -- King's major influence is pre-gangster era rap music. Groups like The Sugar Hill Gang, Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock, LL Cool J, Public Enemy, Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, The Jungle Brothers and Gang Starr provided a much needed burst of new sounds that became Mr. Famous's regular listening while growing up.
While many of the early rap groups discussed very personal cultural issues that did not apply to King Famous's upbrining, the human essense of creativity, rhythm, and music-making stuck. It became a dream and vision for King Famous to become a music performer whos sound would be crafted after the music he loved.
Currently, King Famous is working on a new album as a follow up to his self titled release, King Famous King Famous. When not performing live, he is writing or recording in New York City with his favorite band, Firecamp and in Los Angeles with Ghost Jam. Be on the lookout for DADADA!
