"Coming in suitably lean and mean, carrying not an ounce of fat, all spiky guitars and equally spiky lyrics, music that discards the much over-used indie swagger for a more wild-eyed, hyperactive skank. And it’s all so quintessentially English. "
Coming straight out of Coventry with a string of impressive shows and a fan base rapidly building King Hermit plan on going nowhere but the top. “we're aiming high and we want everything, and we're not leaving a stone unturned until we get there” says King Hermits singer Jim Peakman.
Adventurous and audacious, King Hermit don't mind trying everything at least once, and the more outlandish the better. “ We've played gigs In an open Cathedral, a zavvi in-store on a Saturday afternoon, A gig at Coventry City's Ricoh Arena, Inside an Odeon cinema in Putney, we even got one of our tracks played at half time at Anfield during a premiership game” says Bassist Dale Driver “Next stop, on top of the Empire States building”.
After recently recording their forthcoming EP entitled 'Home Sweet Homeless' at the world famous 'Motor Museum Studios' in Liverpool (producing previous results from bands such as Oasis, The Coral and the Zutons) King Hermit are ready to attack the mainstream with their infectious Throat Scratching vocals mixed with down and dirty guitar riffs that pound every song.
Next stop is taking over the UK, with dates being lined up all over the country and even some abroad. King Hermit don't plan on stopping until they achieve everything that they possibly can, and then try for a little more.
