"Also known as a singleton, or "normal," you have a single head,

probably rebuff you. Even if they seek the same thing, you remain in
the sorry situation of two people attempting to make up a single
twinship from mismatched and dispersed parts. Even barring successful
coupling, your phantom twin may act as a social glue, bonding you
temporarily to a large number of others each of whom is temporarily
haunted by the specter of this lost other. Your speech patterns will
emphasize I and you, artificially shoring up the false distinction
between one and two, or one and many, that is your original wound."
