KING LEWMAN is a husband/wife band that's core singer/ songwriters are Kristan King and Lance Lewman. Danny Junk plays lead guitar, Saxophone and Flute, Mandolin, and Bass, and Michael Collins is their drummer.
Kristan started out in the early 80's with The Mohave River Band in California with her brother Kim King during summers away from school at The North Carolina School of the Arts, and after several solo recording efforts after graduation, she joined forces with Lance in 1983. Lance started out with a band called Eclipse in North Carolina while attending the North Carolina School of the Arts, and then joined up with Kristan and together they recorded "Living In Skin" under the name Rescue in 1990.
In 1990 and 91, after moving from New York City to Columbia Maryland, the couple played out live with Danny Junk in the Baltimore/Washington area as Nobody's Bizness. After a break they decided in 1999 to start recording the original songs they had played live with Danny. They brought Kristan's brother, Kim, in on two of the songs, and one year later in July of 2000, they released "Paper Train." A brand new CD with 16 original songs, the band started to play out live again adding guest players. After receiving high praise for "Paper Train - A Songcycle Volume One" from a Music Monthly review in May 2001, they decided to make a follow-up album. The Music Monthly review ended with the line, "I'm looking forward to Volume 2." So in 2005, They released "Full Circle - A Songcycle Volume Two" - As their fan base continues to grow, KING LEWMAN continues to develop and grow as artists as they move forward in this grassroots effort to bring the world meaningful and memorable music.
