Larry Wilson, Jr is living proof that just because you wind up in jail doesn't mean you have to fall prey to its darkness. He is an enigma, a success, and the year 2009 will promise to bring him unparalleled success and make him a house hold name. Four years of childhood abuse molded him into the writer he has become. His ability to write emotional characters has won over his loyal readers. The absence of his father led to several failed relationships that became the pinnacle of his explosive writing. He co-authored and co-edited an anthology called "Voices From Within," released on World AIDS Day in 2000. The book was selected for Body Positive Magazine's Book of the Month Club in 2001. Dapharoah69 admits that some of the characters, written from the male and female points of view, bare similarities of himself. His writing gives a deeper understanding of why some people have the type of sex the way they do. The book also touches on taboo topics seldom discussed in the black community. To pigeonhole his books as reflections of his counterparts Zane, Eric Jerome Dickey and E. Lynn Harris would be a mockery of his talents. He writes from the gay, straight, female, and male points of view with devastating accuracy. With the rise of The King of Erotica, a name given to him by his fans, the genre now has a male face and he does it raw and uncensored. Dapharoah69 is a man who doesn't hold anything back. He painstakingly built his legacy from his mother's living room with a pen that was running low on ink and a pad. He was jobless and broke.
