JEAN-EMMANUEL DELUXE is a pop culture specialist & enthusiast since he was born and written professionaly for more than a quarter of a century now. He has written for a wide range of magazine in France (Standard Magazine, Citizen K, Clark, Muziq, Playboy, F.H.M, Crash, Men's Health), England (Shindig, Nude magazine,) & USA (Roctober) along with radio & TV jobs (France 2). Mr Deluxe has interviewed diverse personalities such as Elvis Costello, Paul Verhoeven, Tony Visconti, Robert Crumb, Dan Clowes, Moebius, Mike Mignola, Jesus Franco, Alejandro Jodorowsky, Alan Moore, Brian Wilson, XTC, Monte Hellman, Roger McGuinn, Van Dyke Parks... Jean-Emmanuel is fascinated by US pop culture but instead of aping it he likes to reinterpret it his own continental way.
Jean-Emmanuel, first with the euro-visions label, and now with Martyrs of Pop is the proud captain of a indie label releasing CD's, DVD's and good old fashioned vinyl. April March was first introduced in France to Bertrand Burgalat (the coolest gallic music producer who share his face with Mr Krime) thru Jean-Emmanuel. Recently April March released her new album with Steve Hanft "Magic Monsters" on Deluxe's MOP imprint.
Author of two book one on Bubblegum & sunshine pop the other on Rock cinema your favorite frenchman is working on new projects including the biography of Mr Frog (Aka Jean-Yves Labat de Rossi) and his ten years in Woodstock with a cast featuring David Bowie, Bob Dylan, Liv Tyler, Todd Rundgren, Albert Grossman, Patti Smith, Meatloaf, The Sparks... JED is also writing a project (in english) on french pop for the L.A publishing company Feral House. D.J, writer, performer & all round entertainer Jean-Emmanuel is working on his new album with such luminaries guests as April March, Don Fleming, Bertrand Burgalat, Sean O' Hagan & so on. The concept is simple: "Hollywood USA" seen from the eyes of a frenchman who has never been there (yet).
MORT TODD was born on a date so horrible, the Germans have a word for it: Schicksalstag (Day of Fate). He sold his first screenplay for a TV pilot to German TV while still a teenager, but has spent the majority of his career in comics. He became Editor-in-Chief of Cracked magazine at 23 and later started a line of music comics at Marvel Comics, working personally with such artists as KISS, Rob Zombie, The Rolling Stones and the estates of Elvis Presley and Bob Marley. As a writer, artist or editor, he has worked at just about every comic book company and involved in many aspects of licensing. Newspaper comic strips Mort has written and drawn include Speed Racer, Rat Fink and Molly the Model, the last two with Cliff Mott. Mort’s illustrations have graced many CD covers, magazines, newspapers and ads.
Mort has also had a long career in film, video and animation. Many award-winning commercials were storyboarded by him and he has produced animation for Disney, CBS and Sesame Street as well as an animated MTV pilot featuring Christopher Walken. He has directed short films and music videos and recently created and directed three animated pilots for Playboy's web page.
Mort is adapting the Italian Sadistik photo-graphic novels into English and produced the film The Diabolikal Super-Kriminal currently screening at European film festivals. Mort has also acted in films and one he starred in, The Piano Tuner, is in competition at the 2009 Reggae Film Festival in Jamaica. His recent comics contributions include Tales from the Crypt, Lucy Hell Devilgirl, Protoplasman and Mort Todd's Weird Menace.

MORT TODD est né un jour si horrible que les allemands on un mot pour ça :le Schicksalstag (le jour du destin) et a grandit dans l’Etat officiel de l’horreur en Amérique, le Maine. Il vendu son premier scénario pour un pilote d’émission télé alors qu’il n’était qu’un adolescent, mais il a passé la majeure partie de sa carrière dans les comics. Mort est devenu rédacteur en chef de Cracked magazine à l’age de 23 ans ou il put faire découvrir au monde des dessinateurs tel que Daniel Clowes et Peter Bagge. Par la suite il a lancé une collection de comics sur la musique pour la Marvel. En travaillant personnellement avec des artistes tel que KISS, Rob Zombie, les Rolling Stones, Alice Cooper et les aillant droits d’Elvis Presley et de Bob Marley.
En tant qu’auteur, artiste ou éditeur, il a travaillé à peut prêt pour tous les éditeurs de comics de Superman à Spider-Man et s’est chargé de nombreux aspects des licences. Mort Todd à écrit et dessiné pour la presse les séries Speed Racer, Rat Fink et Molly the Model. Les illustrations de Mort ont ornées nombres de pochettes de CD, de magazines, de journaux et de publicités.
Mort à une grande carrière dans le cinéma, la vidéo et l’animation.
