    With their zestful soundtrack of banned cartoons, and with a lyrical range from the Old Testament to opium dens in Shanghai, Stockholm-based nonet King Oliver’s Revolver makes it hard to believe that granddad was not a head-banger. The band includes multi-instrumentalist Ola Karlsson (The Gin Club, AUS) behind the keyboards, and the rhytm-section of praised tango band Månskensorkestern. Add to that a three-piece horn section, barbed-wire guitars, battered banjos and the delirious ravings of singer Tobias Klevbom, and you’ll have a band that easily raises a crowd at any given Saturday between 1911 and 2011.
