“King Porter Stomp blend ska, funk, afrobeat and hip hop to create a genuinely original, natural fusion of styles.” SOURCE MAGAZINE
With big horns, heavy bass and deeply politically and environmentally aware lyrics, King Porter Stomp have quickly established themselves as major players on the UK summer festival circuit. Since forming 2 years ago, the high energy eight piece have already rocked stages at Glastonbury, The Big Chill, The Secret Garden Party, The Big Green Gathering, Endorse It and Ireland’s Electric Picnic. Their debut album ‘Poison The Beat’ is continuing to get great reviews and airplay. The summer of 2009 will see the unveiling of their new outrageous horn lines, thumping beats and delicately crafted conscious rhymes.
The 8 dedicated members of King Porter Stomp were called to Brighton from very different backgrounds and musical persuasions and first played together in Autumn 2006. Since then they have been loyally refining their sound, preparing to unleash their contagious new universal grooves upon whoever will listen!
