Revel in the magic of New England’s largest and longest-running renaissance fair, King Richard’s Faire, which kicks off its 28th season on Saturday, September 5, 2009. Tucked away on 80 acres of magical forest in Carver, MA, King Richard’s Faire is a great value – a full day of live, enchanted and interactive entertainment for all ages.
It’s a short trip to Carver to become a part of the unique theatrical experience offered only at King Richard’s Faire. Captivate all your senses by seeing exotic animals and watching knights joust on horseback; hear live musical acts and theatrical performances; taste all of the Faire’s delicious food and beverages. Stroll through the village of artisans and browse the wares of more than 100 unique artisans, including glass blowers, sword makers, potters, jewelry makers and more. It’s a full day experience that you can’t get anywhere else in New England.

Tortuga Twins--Got Comedy? Join the internationally renowned Tortuga Twins-all three of them, as they put a new twist on the Robin Hood Legend and more.
Four Baritones--Internationally known and critically acclaimed quartet created in King Richard's Faire own backyard will fill your ears with their vocal harmonies.
Colin Campbell--Comedy on a unicycle while playing bagpipes and juggling? Seeing is believing!
Weiland Trio--Come listen to dad and sons playing Celting music in our beautiful village in the pine forest.

All Contests will take place at 4pm on the King's Stage
On opening day, Saturday, September 5, King Richard will welcome Carver residents with valid proof of ID-- free admission!!
Saturday, September 12 (rain date 9/13) Cleavage Contest. Always a big favorite with King Richard's Faire fans. Come see why we make it an annual event!
Saturday, September 19 (rain date 9/20) The Royal Tournament of Beers. Know your way around pubs? What's the best pick up line you've told or heard? Best beer belly on a damsel or knave. Run the obstacle course without spilling!
Saturday, September 26 (rain date 9/27) Family Weekend/Prince & Princess Costume Contest. All children aged 12 years and younger are invited to participate in the Prince and Princess Costume contest. Pomp and circumstance will not be spared as the pair is ceremoniously crowned!
Saturday, October 3 (rain date 10/4) Renew the Romance Wedding Vow Renewal Ceremony. Call our Faire site office between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm beginning August 1 @508-866-5391 to register.
Saturday, October 10 (rain date 10/11) Tattoo Contest. Show off your ink in King Richard's Tattoo Contest! We're looking for best renaissance themed tattoo, most exotic tattoo and everyone's favorite--most regrettable tattoo!
Saturday, October 24 (rain date 10/25) Adult Halloween Costume Contest. We've saved the best contest for the final Faire weekend! Halloween will soon be here and King Richard X will be looking for the best renaissance costume male/female, scariest costume male/female and wild card--best matched pair.

The faire will run on every Saturday and Sunday from September 5 through October 25, as well as on Labor Day and Columbus Day Mondays!
