Great grooves, great hooks - that's what 'KING'S CALL' is all about. The song matters....
'KING'S CALL' – ... a melodic Hard Rock formation located in Germany – with an international line up. It all started out a few months back when Alex Garoufalidis (band leader, songwriter, guitarist, vocalist…) returned from Los Angeles, U.S.A. Originally from Greece, Alex jammed and recorded with the likes of Graham Bonnet, Cherie Currie (The Runaways), Chuck Wright (House Of Lords/Quiet Riot), T.M. Stevens, Kevin Valentine to name a few.
After having worked on several projects in the U.S and Europe (in Germany with Udo Lindenberg etc.), Alex decided to put together his own band – 'KING'S CALL'.
Listening to Led Zep, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Mana, Eddie Money, the Police…and most of Thin Lizzy, Alex always wanted to play the music he loved ever since picking up the guitar at the age of thirteen. So, he then placed ads, searching for musicians to form a melodic, grooving rock band.
Asik Bergemann was the first to answer the "call"- a great drummer who came to Germany all the way from Russia a few years ago. A bit later on Martina Simon joined the ranks - responsible for the bass parts and back up vocals. Keyboard parts were added by Hendrik Sapadi.
NEWS!!!: We welcome- Manolito Laubinger! He will be in charge of the keyboard parts, adding the AOR touch that l like.

The band recorded at first a 4 track Demo CD titled "No Alibi"- as a three piece before Hendrik joined in late 2006 and did the additional keyboard overdubs. The response to the Demo CD was a great one! The press started talking about 'KING'S CALL' - Alex is a known respected figure amongst the musicians in the local scene (and beyond) ...'KING'S CALL' already getting airplay in Germany on "Munich’s hardest hits", 'H3 Bremen, in: Italy, France, Spain, Belgium, the U.K, Ireland, the Netherlands' etc which is great indeed. The Track "All You Can Do" made it onto the sampler of 'Fireworks' Magazine in Feb. 2007!
Even the first test gigs went down "cool" – the band opened up for bass player sensation T.M. Stevens - what a party! KING'S CALL play the music they love- far away from any trendy flavour of the month.
