About me: Currently playing music with my band, Kingsizemaybe. I'm happily married with 2 kids ages 18 and 8.
I've been playing music since I was 14 .
I had a new wave band called The View. We were horrible but we got to open for some cool bands back in the day. We played with The Motels, Oingo Boingo, John Hiatt, and some others I can't remember because I was too fucked up.
Then I had a band called the Devil Squares with my son's mom, Debbie Dexter.
We were pretty good, I guess. Kind of X-ish male/female vocal thing with slashing guitars.
Then I wrote music for a group called the Ringling Sisters which included Annette Zelinskas, Debbie Dexter, Pleasant Gehman, Iris Berry Debbie Patino, Texacala Jones, and early on,Johnette Napolitano. We had a song in the movie , Georgia.
That was a cool band. We did a record with Lou Adler on A+M records called 60 Watt Reality .
After that it was The Continental Drifters which included some musical sorta-bigshots . We opened for Dylan at the Pantages. That was cool.
All around and in between I've played and toured with some cool bands and solo artists.
Here's a list: The Surfers , featuring world renowned surfers, Kelly Slater, Rob Machado , and Peter King....FUN GIG.....those guys are the shit. Steve Wynn- I played on his album Fluorescent. Viva Saturn- We toured with Mo Tucker. She and I were smoking buddies. Great hang . Amy Rigby - did a little tour and co-wrote a song (What I Need) that appears on her album Middlescence Streetwalkin' Cheetahs - played bass on Heart Full Of Napalm . That was a cool session. Wayne Kramer played guitar. Also wrote a song they covered called A Geek Like Me. Rocky Horror Picture Show- I was musical director for the 20th and 25th anniversary shows. The 25th was a VH1 special....hilarious. Giant Sand - Played bass on a track on Center Of The Universe
Also played with- Duane Jarvis, Kip Boardman, Randy Weeks, Ghosthouse( oh yeah, I produced a couple of songs for them as well), Chris Cacavas, and some others I'll probably remember the minute I post this long winded son of a bitch.
OK, I'm done
Oh wait!! Motorcycleboy. How could I forget that?! Francois is one of the coolest dudes I've ever known. Sorry Francois. We had a good time in that band. Opening for Hunters and Collectors at Scream was a riot. They were racist dicks. One of their roadies dropped the N-bomb on our friend ,Chris(Fishbone) so we decided to have some fun . We, along with Pig from Pygmy Love Circus stole their alchohol and food. Then when we got onstage . Francois did his usual fall into the crowd while Chris and I poured Jack all over the stage and tripped over the Hunters' gear.
Good times...
Who I'd like to meet: FRIENDS.

Oh, gary! You are an absolute delight! Tell me, are you naturally this charming? What is your secret?
I am packing my steamer trunk as we speak and am soon to set sail for Londontown! My crystal ball is a little hazy, but it does seem that there is a good chance that we will soon meet and that I will have the heartfelt pleasure of telling your fortune! Could it be true?
In any case, the stars have indicated that we are destined to be fast friends in this lifetime and the next and I have no doubt that they are correct.
With the greatest anticipation for all our future adventures, it is thus I remain very truly yours, &c.
