As of November 2009, a download single was released on the urging of some really awesome people and will appear in a great, little Japan based limited edition paper music zine in the near future. More news to follow. In addition, material is being written in Pembroke, Ontario & Boston, MA. for a follow-up EP release w/a few shows and some familiar and new faces to accompany.
Previously, a freewheeling, big guitar single produced by Jordon Zadorozny got the ball rolling. He pretty much has set the standard for awesome rock. Anyone who wants to make a proper record should plot a course for Pembroke and look him up.... i.e. Blinker the Star's "Shades of White" convinces most...... And from there, a tape cassette ep -laughing fox- produced by Tim Watson and his brother Dean, Dave Draves & Jarrett Bartlett and was distributed via a mail-out in the fall of 2008. It was an interesting and surprising experience. All those fellahs helped lots and played good on it. Real nice folks liked it. Live band and solo shows resulted that went alright w/a bit of supportive provincial and state radio airplay and podcasting.
I've had the honour of working with and learning from Mike Watt of the Minutemen, fIREHOSE & the Stooges. - One of the living greats in my humble opinion. Kira rocked her bass. Very awesome. When he can, Tim Watson helps out awesome. A top notch confederate. I always look forward to collaborating when the chance comes around. Well, that's what has happened so far.... (there is a better bio at CBC Radio 3's website if you are interested)...More to come. ..
ok..... hello all..... since i'm in a mood i can talk about seeing a patton tank in the california high desert. it was earlier tonite and luckily the turret cannon was pointed away from me. those suckers! guess they figured what runs aground might even come around. hehehehe!! all i can really say is tanks for the memories. and tread yer barrels before ya shoot yer balls! or was that a saying from the revolutionary war? i'm beginning to understand what drove betsy ross, and it weren't no toyota...
well, you asked for it. the only problem is i can only do a shout IN today. crapped out my voice singing death metal last night. and it looks like i won't be in the toronto area this summer--it doesn't fit into the tour schedule like i hoped it would. oh well... it was a nice dream. to quote the chicago cubs: there's always next year. and for those who don't know, the original wrigley field was in los angeles. yep.
oh -- i totally dig the video! love that it is black & white. we are hoping to make another home-made vid soon with the girls. i just love the process, don't you?! kudos~~ ganbatte ne!!
