In the year K.O.T.I blessed the music scene with their presence the band achieved pretty much... nothing!
During the summer of 2005 Andy Salter and Marc (Armstrong) Arnam formed the bones of K.O.T.I. This was after years of playing to no avail seperately & sometimes together in various other bands in the area. It taken nearly 2 years for Marcs brother Steve Woolham and Steve's old school friend Alex 'Badger' Huxley to join the the band permanently and be ready for gigging and the recording of demo's of Andy's vast back catalogue of songs. In their short life K.O.T.I did get voted on to both the Wirrals Buzz FM & Manchesters XFM through online polls, additionally they also got a bit of online radio air play and critical aclaim. By February 2008 the band had somehow found there way in to releasing an independent single!!! 'The End', a melancholic & haunting acoustic track recorded the previous November in Liverpool. With buzzing gigs being played & festivals booked the exposure only added to the band looking like they could actually go somewhere... it wasn't long before an Oxford based Indie label taken interest in K.O.T.I.
Throughout October 2007 & March 2008 the band played a succession of gigs across the Northwest in places like Manchester, Liverpool, Chester, Crewe, Earlestown, Ellesmere Port and Warrington just to name a few, and they spawned a small but loyal online following.
Unfortunately though, as is life.... around the end of March, after a good gig at the L.G.M in Earlestown (while the going was good!!) Marc Arnam left to persue his own project. As a knock on effect his brother Steve naturally went with him.
Within a week of Marcs departure a young lad named Sean Seery of local Deeside band 'Part of the Queue' taken an interest in the available role and had a jam with the remainder of K.O.T.I. He joined instantly, bringing along a whole new load of songs, so after cancelling a few gigs and rehearsing like mad men the band were set...... well almost! It was evident another Guitarist was needed and so the 3 jammed with a few guitarists including a short return for Steve (He played at the bands final full live gig at Trash in Leeds, June 2008) but Andy didn't have the motivation for it anymore and decided enough was enough for him. Badger decided to call it quits too as a result of Andy's decision and so K.O.T.I was laid to rest.
The Band would like to thank Lukas, Lisa, Matt, Michi, Charly, Damian, Zoe, De and everyone & anyone else whod helped out, seen a show, owns a CD or felt the magic with us..... you KNOW who you are!!! x
The music, videos and pictures will always be here so enjoy.....

The battle of the bands at JJ's (Wolverham Club) tomorrow Thursday May 7th is starting earlier, the time will now be 6:00pm Doors and 6:30 First Band. This is due to a complaint that someone put into the police and then to the council, because after 9:00pm the building can't have anyone under the age 18 in there which we know it is rather annoying. But we would rather go on with the show than have to cancel it, so hope this doesn't seem inconvenient to anyone and that you can still all make it and support us. Hope to see you all tomorrow.
