The band »Kingston« from the small town Idrija – Slovenia is one of the most popular group and definitely the real representative of an excellent entertainment. Positive energy, exceptional charisma and stage performance accompany with their top song hits make the group for more than 13 years indomitable force on the Slovenian music scene.
Since the group was formed in 1994 and up till now they released 6 albums, 3 of them reached the gold edition and 3 of them becoming platinum.
Without exaggeration we can admit that each single they released became the top hits on the SLO music scene.
Either performing on different events or big concerts all over the country their fans and audience from all generations become together singing along their songs.
Recognized »Kingston style« brought them to the successful achievement on the national radio channel »Val 202«: 18 top hit singles became » Popevka tedna (the pop song of the week)« and took also it's prominent place among all other commercial broadcasting channels in Slovenia.
On of the most popular and recognized song is definitely «Cela ulica nori« first time presented on the Slovenian music festival »Melodije morja in sonca (Melodies of the sea and sun)« in Piran in year 1998. Great scene and an excellent show performance brought the band unbeatable victory which was repeated on the same festival with the song »Hotel modro nebo(Hotel blue sky)«in Portoro-- 4 years after.
Kingston story continued with picking up 3 Grammies in Year 1999 for the best pop band, album and song of the year.
18 music videos contributed to their promotional attitude sharing them among different TV broadcasting channels all over the country.
Kingston is also needless to say synonymous for the indispensable live band on the traditional beach parties organized for the students graduated on Slovenian Universities. These parties usually take place on the Island Crete (Greece)once per year and became one of the unforgettable events for the students attending these shows.
