POLARIS ROCK AND ROLL BAND RELEASES FOURTH ALBUM “LOOSE ENDS”, CELEBRATES 23 YEARS.

Polaris, formed by Cuba, Mo teenagers Colin and Myles Shaw, Robby Black, and David McLain in 1986 will celebrate 23 years together this summer by releasing their fourth self-produced album titled “Loose Ends”. The record release party will be held in their hometown at Loose Ends Saloon, 505 East Main, Cuba, MO on Saturday, June 13^th at 9:00 PM. The new recording will be played in its entirety, contests will be held for free Polaris CDs, and the band will entertain Loose Ends’ patrons the entire evening.

“We decided to title the album ‘Loose Ends’ in honor of our own hometown establishment, having played so many gigs there over the years while coming to know the patrons of Loose Ends, in many cases, on a personal basis.” says singer Myles Shaw. The band has even dedicated the album to the memory of Loose Ends’ late bartender, Gertie Bost, who lost her battle with cancer after Polaris played a benefit in her honor at the bar last year. Drummer Colin Shaw adds, “Some of these people have become our friends, including Gertie, and we care very much about them- this record is dedicated to them as well… our people. In the age of ‘American Idol’ and ‘Guitar Hero’, quality live entertainment has become somewhat underappreciated- we are here to keep
