About me:
Kino5 is dedicated to the support of young independent filmmakers in Austria. As such, we host film screenings on a monthly basis, which are open to short films of any genre.
Once a year, kino5 hosts the so called "KinoDynamique" (formerly and internationally known as KinoKabaret) and invites filmmakers, editors, actors and musicians to produce films “from start to screen” within 60 hours.
kino5 – founded in 2004 – is part of the international Kino movement with its origin in Montreal / Canada (Kino00) and official representation of NisiMasa in Austria since March 2006, participating for the first time in the 2006 European script contest.
Speaking of the Script Contest. As well as every year, we are hosting this year's NISI MASA Script Contest. So if you are young (18-30), creative and interested in writing a short film script on the topic "Taboo", please check our website www.kino5.net for further information. Dealine is the 31st of July 2009!
