BIOGRAPHY OF KIRA ASPEN
Born in Victoria in 1985 Kira began piano lessons at the tender age of eight. It very quickly became an expression of her personality, as did her classically trained voice.
At the age of twelve she joined the secondary college ‘Big Band’ for 2 years as their pianist. The jazz band toured Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria performing at various openings and shows. Concurrently, Kira found herself as the pianist in the youth band ‘S.N.F’ where they held monthly concerts.
Four years later Kira joined the local church music team as the pianist. Also in the choir, she soon became a predominant leader of the music team. For the past six years, she has sung and played at many formal and informal weddings, Christenings, private functions and restaurants.
2004 found Kira as the support act for the ‘Impact’ concert where she enthralled the age diverse crowds, which then lead to her return visit the following year as a headline act.
Diversifying her talents she used her acting abilities in the lead role of Cinderella the musical seeing in the New Year of 2003-2004.
Late in 2004, Kira was selected by studio 52 in Melbourne to appear on their Album “Fear of the Unknown Volume 7” which was released November 2005. Also in 2005, she was employed as a singer/pianist in a Melbourne restaurant.
Later that year she performed in Tasmania at a Lions Club Christmas pageant, with an estimated 800 people in attendance.
