About me:
"No good thing will God withhold from those who walk with Integrity." - Psalm 84:11
Southern born and bred from the flatlands and swamps of Florida (1981-1989) to the hills of Tennessee (1989-2000), the plains of Alabama (2000-2005), and the Rocket City home of America's Space program (2005-Presnt). With what little free time I have, I can usually be found online - mostly at Furreality, FurryMUCK, or Stellar Convergence (all as Kiran).
I'm 24 and happily taken. I stand about average height at 5'9.5" and weigh about 190 on a good day. I hold a Bachelor's degree from Auburn University, and I'm currently employed as a software engineer for a telecommunications firm. I've worked a lot of odd jobs over the years (bagboy, cashier, software programmer, computer salesman, park ranger, tech support, graphic arts, and webdesign just to name a few) so I've got a lot of skills that I try to keep in shape by doing odd things and keeping busy. I enjoy almost all kinds of music, but I'm particularly fond of southern rock/jam, country, 80s, and late 90s alternative rock. I love movies, especially science fiction flicks.
My political views are an odd mix though I generally tend to favor libertarian viewpoints. However, I'm making a concerted effort to actually give less of a shit about politics. I found that, for awhile, I was getting far too caught up in things that I could not change and, ultimately, had little or no direct bearing on my life.
I a huge fan of everything Southern. I love fried foods and sweet tea. I prefer the laid-back Southern lifestyle and I try to at all times conduct myself as a Southern Gentleman should. I don't think this make me a "racist" or a "bigot" or an "inbred redneck hick." I'm very proud of my Southern heritage, because it's more than just some things you say or do: it's a way of life.
I love geeky things like science fiction and I completely dig the furry fandom. I used to hang out at the local convention (ConCat) but I kinda parted ways with the general science fiction con. I've been a furry for almost a decade now (I was one of the fans that came in after The Lion King came out in '94). Since then I've attended countless conventions and I currently serve on the Board of Directors of Furry Weekend Atlanta as the Operations Director. I'm also an aspiring writer; I've been scribbling writings for all these years but I've never gotten the nerve to put anything up - something I'm soon going to begin changing.
Anything else, feel free to ask me! I'm a very approachable and friendly guy and I'll likely talk your ear off. You can also try to find me at cons - I'm usually wearing a black cowboy hat and wandering around drunk. :)
Special Note: I have mild degenerative hearing loss in both of my ears. While I don't need hearing aids right now, I sometimes have a difficult time hearing especially in crowded or noisy environments. Please don't be upset if I ask you to repeat something or to speak louder. The best things you can do to help me: 1) speak somewhat slowly and enunciate clearly, and 2) look directly at me so I can see your lips.
