Kirby Kirb was born in Bristol, Tenn. A small town on the East corner of Tennessee which boarders Tennessee from Virginia. At age 5 Kirby Kirb's life as an Californian began.
At the age of 13 Kirby grew a very strong interest in all genres of music. Listening to one of rap's powerhouses Cash Money (Hot Boyz) was enough to get young Kirby started on his own music. From the point where Kirby first put his pen to the pad writing nursery rhymes, to this very day Kirby knew he had to be one of the hottest lyrical artist in the Bay Area.
Bringing that Southern/West Coast lyrical swag to the game, Kirby Kirb separate's himself from most Bay Area hip-hop artist(s). Through the times Kirby Kirb has worked with many different artists. Not mentioning any names Kirby has been in and out of groups, worked solo, and back in and out of groups. Until one day Kirby Kirb say's "Working solo is the best way to go, because you don't have to deal with anybody else's bullsh*t but your own."
Around late September 2008 Kirby Kirb was destined to get out there and find a recording studio and a place to call home. Hunnit Proof's super producer Young Nasty Mayne a.k.a Nova answered that call. Nova called Kirby Kirb and told him the exciting news that he was willing to put together an album for Kirby. Taking the deal, within two solid months Kirby finished his debut project "The Prologue" with hit singles "Let's go", "Feelin' this cutt", "Take you Home", and "Let me Dipp".
Kirby is set out to put a new meaning to "changing the game" with a swagger like no other. Kirby Kirb brings a whole new sound to the game. After finishing "The Prologue"Kirby knew he found his home with Hunnit Proof Records. The question asked by Kirby Kirb after finishing the album was "Well What's next?" then Kirby released his first mixtape titled "Da Street Tape vol.1"on January 10th 2009. Kirby Kirb is currently finishing his "Street Tape Vol.2".
Kirby's main focus is to flood the streets with his catalog. Expect to see young Kirby Kirb on the mainstream stage soon!
