[Biography]
Yuki is jazz pianist, studying jazz composition in university. He was born in Japan (1984). At early age He began the violin. He later took part in the junior orchestra and played classical music including popular symphonies (Beethoven, Dvorak, etc).
Yuki then learned to play the flute and piccolo when he was in high school. He joined our high school brass band. While Yuki entered at Tokyo University of Science in 1994, he was studying jazz piano and performing with the Waseda University High Society Orchestra. It’s one of the most famous student big bands in Tokyo. With this band, he joined for some liveshows and competitions as a pianist. They performed with The Juilliard School Jazz Ensamble Band at New York Lincoln Center Dizzy’s Bar in February 2006.
He also studied jazz piano and composition under Junko Moriya.
In April 2008, Yuki gave support to musicians playing “Enka”(Japanese traditional music) at the Sweet Basil Japan live house(STB139).
Yuki is a musician that has familiarized himself with many instruments. He has a true appreciation for music. More than anything, Yuki loves playing with other musicians. Playing in harmony to create music that moves the audience.
