I go through stages with music but at the moment Im really liking the sort of indie-rock music that is around a lot at the moment, both English bands like Hard Fi, Arctic Monkeys, Snow Patrol and also American ones like All American Rejects, Plain White Ts and many more. I also like sort of folky/poppy stuff like Seth Lakeman, Jack Johnson and Newton Faulkner. Of course if I can dance to it then I generally will like it as long it isnt scary screamy rock music.Movies
It pains me to say it but I'm a chickflick kind of girl. I love a story with a cute guy and a happy ending in it. Other than that I wuill watch mostly any type of film: action, thrillers, comedies etc. but NO horrors. I hate them cos they scare me. And honestly that doesn't appeal to me much. I love the Indiana Jones films as well- i think it may be where my interest in archaeology and history cam from. I also like musicals such as Grease, Phantom of the Opera and others. You know what, i also have a strange liking for the kind of bad 80s films you see on channel 4 at midnight. Thats when I saw The Breakfast Club, Heathers, and the like...Also any, and I mean ANY film with Johnny Depp in.Television
Filling up your days with TV shows is a typical student thing so who am I to go against it so I like This Morning,Neighbours, Diagnosis Murder, Countdown, Richard and Judy, Hollyoaks and so on! Im also a fan of US teen dramas like One Tree Hill, The OC, Laguna Beach etc. Then theres also the seriously addictive shows like Lost and Heroes which I am also a big fan of :D Not too much then, oh and Id better not forget British comedy shows such as Father Ted, Green Wing, Black Books, Spaced.Books
I read a lot and I mean A LOT. I don't really have one particular type of book I read though most of the time it is the "chick lit" type. Some of my favourite books of all time are: The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy- JRR Tolkein; Little Women- L.M. Alcott; Come To The Circus- Enid Blyton; The Da Vinci Code- Dan Brown; The California Club;Heroes
My heroes are people who stand up for what they believe in or changed the world we live in for the better. People like Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks or Emeline Pankhusrt. These are the people I think that we should remember, not guys who play music or act in films though I have nothing against them. Of course my ultimate hero is Jesus. What better hero could you, get he stood up for what he belived and what was right and died for all of us when he didn't even have to. He did it through choice. I only hope that if I ever had to I could live up to the examples of these people.

About me:
I'm Kirsty. I'm a student at Hull University, no jokes please its a lot better than people think!! Im studying History with History of Art (and in my last year, sob) which I love and find really interesting. I love all my friends, from uni and from home equally and they totally make my life whereever I am! I have luverly boyfriend who is amazing, and makes my day when i see him, how girly n sad is that. He's really important to me and my best friend and im so glad we're together. To be honest there's not a lot I won't do for my friends. I really want to travel the world and thats one of my ambitions in life! As well as the usual girly things like fall in love, getting married, having a family etc.I also love all things purple and glittery:)
I'm also a christian and really like talking about religion but dont worry, im not a bible basher! Its everyone's own opinion what they believe, and im not gonna force anyone into anything. As my friend Bex says, have i ever hit you with a bible! I sing in an awesome rock-gospel choir at uni called revelation rock-gospel choirVisit www.rev.org.uk We do loads of fun stuff and meet up with lots of different choirs from the across the UK

Who I'd like to meet:
Anyone I haven't met really though it would be really cool to meet someone famous I spose like Johnny Depp or Orlando Bloom but it would be equally cool to meet someone like JK Rowling or Nelson Mandela. The only sports people I'd like to meet are formula 1 drivers like Jenson Button or Lewis Hamilton. I'm a friendly sort of person and happy to talk to most people.

first it was the cat, then two methodist ministers and now gizmo
wen dad told me bout the 2 ministers i thought i had come home to a comedy film. he said to me 'its ok ailsa,don't worry, but there are two people sleeping in kirsty's bed' he didnt explain that he let them in but i thought 2 randomers had just walked in an set up shop in ur room. also yesterday wen i was working, i heard this thing scramble up the stairs into ur room, i went up there and there was gizmo on ur bed. the catflap was unlocked and he squeezed thru there
twas a weird day yesterday...
