Kirk Baxley brings an unmatched intensity as the lead vocalist. His four time nomination for Best Frontman/Male Vocal Performance by the Dallas Observer proves that Baxley is a very driven, energetic and passionate personality. As a classically trained vocalist, he performed in front of an audience in the first grade and has been entertaining on stage ever since. At the age of 16, Kirk joined his second band called Plumbline, in which he played percussion and guitar and sang background vocals. Two members of Plumbline and Kirk decided to branch off and form their very own band entitled Unveiled. This band would be the foundation laid for the musical and spiritual experiences to come. The Kirk Baxley Band began to play events and eventually changed the band name to Sterling, which eventually became Lesermor. Lesermor recorded a three song demo and two live cuts with Pushmonkey's very own Will Hoffman, and in late spring 2000, Lesermor was approached and eventually signed by Brando Records, a large independent label and Rainmaker Artists management group. During this phase, Lesermor changed their name to Greatness in Tragedy. Greatness in Tragedy released a self titled debut album produced by David Castell. A highlight track included was "give" which was produced by Blue October's very own, Justin Furstenfield. Kirk in turn is featured on Blue October’s latest Universal release Foiled- Track 10 : “Drill the Wire Through My Cheek”. Kirk has been fortunate enough to have shared the stage with many amazing musicians and bands including: Blue October, Zayra Alvarez, Flyleaf, Vallejo, Pushmonkey, Gin Blossoms, Soul Asylum, the Feds, SouthFm, Flickerstick, the Vanished, Bowling for Soup, Edgewater, Endochine, Radiant, Burden Brothers, Copeland, Eisley, The Scabs, Bob Schneider and many more...
Kirk would like to say Thank You and that it is more than a blessing to have known so many incredible friends and fans through the years. Any continued support would be greatly appreciated and any prayers are needed, thank you.

Hi Kirk! I've been listening to the new CD since Sunday and can't stop! My ultimate favorite on the CD is a toss up between Slowly on Your Own and Amazing. The entire album rocks! Your voice and energy are second to none. Your music is a gift and I hope that millions of people will have the opportunity to enjoy the Mothers Anthem Experience!
Hey Kirk! We just got Amaze Me off of Eye Rock, and I wanted to tell you that you are blessed with the most amazing voice ever! This is not a new feeling for me, just refreshed by listening to Amaze Me. You sing with such emotion that we feel it deep in our hearts. I'm sure you hear it all the time, but truly, nobody has a voice like yours. You are one of a kind & we love you for sharing your gift with us! Thank you SO much!
Hey man, thanks for the signed CD via Buster. I will have to say that Structure Of A Heart is my favorite song but the whole thing was a nice soundtrack for my flight back to NYC. Good luck with the shopping and future success of the album/band. I'm looking forward to the next time we get to share the stage with you guys. Take it easy,
Great show last night and congratulations on the release of the new CD/DVD. I was told I wass the 1st to buy the CD last night. $30 well spent. God bless you, your family and friends.
Just dropping in to say hello!! Hope all is well with you and your family!!
I've gotta tell you--I went through some very very hard times-kept listening to God Save the Queen-which by the way is THE MOST profound song to me!! I sat there saying god please save me-then-I met a great man who treats me like a queen on an emotional level!!!! Something i have never had before. I had to escape an abusive relationship-finally got the courage to leave! Jimmy (the one who is truly my soul mate and has gone through similar hardships as myself) and I got married August 3rd.
I havent forgotten any of you nor the NYS page-I had alot going on and am thankful to be back and alive.
Now-God Save the Queen has an even more impact in my life-for I played that song to Jimmy and looked at him and said thank you for saving me-god sent you when i needed you most. It may sound strange but-I dont go to church regularly and try not to ask god for much-but when I heard that song-I kept asking and I did receive!!
Hey, I talked to Kayla a few times and told her to talk to you about it but knowing her, I doubt that she has yet. I work for the Eagle here in Temple and we are going to start a local music show and are currently soliciting bands to send us a studio quality demo and a band bio. If you are interested check out www.myeagle101.com and click on BackYard Bands... If you want to just mail in something or bring it by the address is 608 Moody Lane, Temple TX 76504. Or send it with Kayla because we are actually right across the road from her house. Thanks Bro
Just dropping in to see how your week is going. Have you had the chance to add Mothers Anthem's other accounts so you can get all the updates? The CD/DVD will be ready soon!!!!
