MySpace a place for friends

Well, let's see... I am a singer-songwriter based in Los Angeles, California. I grew up in Santa Monica, England and Ashland, Oregon and went to Berklee College of Music in Boston. After stints playing bass in a jazz band on a cruise ship and recording with Seal in Los Angeles, I decided to go my own way and record my own music.

I recorded my first album in 1994 which featured drummer friend, Chad Smith from the Red Hot Chili Peppers on two songs. I then recorded eight more songs on a cassette 8-track and pressed up a thousand CDs and hit the streets in Europe, busking and selling Cds. I guess you could call that record moody & acoustic but whatever it is, it attracted the attention of some industry folk and in 1995 I signed a singer-songwriter deal with music publisher Windswept Pacific. I got a bunch of dough, spent it all, ran out of money and went back to work. D'oh! I later formed two bands with which I recorded albums and played around Los Angeles for several years before returning to my solo stuff in 2001. I am currently working on a new album to be released before summer. I just finished most of the tracking and now I'm getting ready to mix.
