anyone catch the most recent shows (since red rocks)?
I caught the show at the Marquee Theater in Tempe on Wednesday. The show was damn amazing! They played with Kirkwood Dellinger and Dead Confederate who were both incredible as well. I was really impressed with KD, Elmos a beast! It was cool, because they all switch instruments on almost every song. The last one they played was really fast with Elmo on insane slide guitar, into a freaky tribal drum thing, and then dropping roight back into the song. It was like a fucking circus up there
Before the show Cris was outside and he was worried that not too many people would show up. The place was pretty barren for the first two bands, but before the Pups got up on stage EVRYONE showed up, it was great. After the second song, he goes up to the mic and says, "Its been too damn long man, thank you. Overall, incredible show. Curts playing was impeccable, he wasnt his usual cynical self up there, he was having fun, accepting his inner Rockstar.
Don't forget to tune in to The Blaze 1330 AM TODAY, 9/14 at 1:00 PM AZ time for a live interview with Cris Kirkwood of the Meat Puppets! Elmo will be in the studio with us as well, and we'll be giving away tickets to the MP concert with KD on Wednesday at the Marquee Theatre in Tempe. Listen online! www.blazeradioonline.com
Hey, sorry I blasted out of there so fast last night (this AM?) but I forgot my friend needed to use my car to get our friend from jail. I had fun hanging out with you and all those other fine gents. I'd say you all know how to show a lady a good time, but that might be misconstrued by people with dirty minds. Like myself. ;)
