Kissing Violet is rock, pop, dance and alternative music that creates an intense future rock sound.
Kissing Violet has been the brainchild of keyboardist, songwriter and producer David Vaughn for several years. David has had the pleasure of working with several great collaborators, co-writers and mentors. Kissing Violet is produced by V-Star Entertainment.
We are so excited to share our music with you. We want to thank all the KV supporters who have been waiting for the project to mature. So to fans, family and friends old and new….. Let’s rock 2009!
Kissing Violet was joined in the studio by several very talented musicians who helped David record the music. These include Jesse Beckman on guitar, Adam Gust on additional drums, Mark Jones on additional bass, Jay Hood on additional bass.
Call it beautiful edgy pop, with a very sharp edge.
This is the Kissing Violet Mustang! The band just had this amazing car built by Ford and the guys at Galpin Auto Sports in Los Angeles. The car will be in upcoming KV music videos and will be at select live promotional spots too.
The car was designed from the ground up based on a Mustang racing GT concept with all one of a kind Kissing Violet colors, logo graphics, racing stripes and after market custom upgrades. It is also the first GLASS TOP MUSTANG(yes the whole roof is glass) to be customized at GAS (Galpin Auto sports). It is a 2009 model car. It's incredible to drive. It's fast. It has a 1000 watt stereo that also really helped us finish the new mixes. In case you are just hearing about the guys over at GAS, they are the guys that were on MTV's Pimp My Ride. Thanks to Steve Carpenter, Beau Boeckman and all the crew at the shop and in sales at Galpin Ford.
KISSING VIOLET has a song in a great cross-promotion with on-line anime/ i-manga producer TOKYOPOP. Check out the KV song "Feel The Disease" in the TokyoPop series Bizenghast. TOKYOPOP is the world's biggest supplier of mangas. They have chosen the Kissing Violet song to be the theme for the Bizenghast series. Thanks to TokyoPop and MySpace for this cool cross cultural and multi-media presentation!
Kissing Violet loves Edward Scissorhands. David has been a long time fan of the movie and the message and mood embraced by its creators and actors. We recently finished the new "Eddie Loan Me Your Scissors" song over the winter holidays. We are really excited to share it with our fans and friends around the globe.
