Kissing Violet is Elia Saldaña, David Vaughn and Jesse Beckman.
Kissing Violet is rock, pop, dance and alternative music that creates an intense future rock sound.
Kissing Violet has been the brainchild of keyboardist David Vaughn for several years. David has had the pleasure of working with several great collaborators, co-writers and mentors. This process has now shown itself to be that all-important “artist development” phase that you hear so much about. Finally, after sticking to the vision while at the same time fully exploring it, the puzzle pieces sorted themselves out and David’s project attracted those who would become the band to release the actual debut Kissing Violet record!
David and Jesse Beckman have been relentlessly recording and tracking the record during a good period of this process. And then along came Elia!
With the addition of Elia Saldaña on vocals the journey was finally complete.
And as with all great journeys, once you get there, you see that the real adventure is just beginning.
We are so excited to share our music with you. We want to thank all the KV supporters who have been waiting for the project to mature. So to fans, family and friends old and new….. Let’s rock 2008!

Elia Saldaña sings lead vocals and also contributes additional lyrics.
She also has sung all her backgrounds and harmonies on this record.
David Vaughn is the keyboard player, main lyricist and producer. He also plays the drums and synth bass on the record. Of course engineering and mixing also are a part of the experience that David contributes to the final product.
Jesse Beckman is the lead guitar player. He also plays bass on several songs.
KV features a signature melded keyboard and guitar combination, coupled with beautifully distinctive vocal character and melody. This is a pop rock record that takes various unique instruments, moods and sounds into our vision for each of the songs on the Kissing Violet album. Call it dark edgy pop, with a very sharp edge. Kissing Violet has 9 songs fully recorded and ready for the album. These are among the large catalog that David, Jesse and Elia have been cultivating to assemble the actual record. We are on schedule to complete the album, and then turn it in to have it distributed both in stores and online soon in 2008!
KISSING VIOLET has a song in a great cross-promotion with on-line anime/ i-manga producer TOKYOPOP. Check out the KV song "Feel The Disease" in the TokyoPop series Bizenghast. TOKYOPOP is the world’s biggest supplier of mangas. They have chosen the Kissing Violet song to be the theme for the Bizenghast series. Thanks to TokyoPop and MySpace for this cool cross cultural and multi-media presentation!
