I have been a makeup artist all of my life, bringing out the beauty within of the people I found inspiring. Whether with my Barbie dolls as a Spanish child in Madrid, or in a cold basement of a New Jersey two-family house as an adolescent, or with my friends' most celebrated moments in adulthood in Miami, I have always expressed myself in color. I derive much of my aesthetic from my love, respect and exposure to opera, theater and cinema throughout my childhood. By combining those forms of art and transforming "moments" in them with my makeup tools, I have finally found my creative expression.
I have 10 years of makeup experience in print, fashion, HD video, web, theater, and film. My background includes a Bachelor of Science in Motion Picture Production and Art Photography from the University of Miami, in which I gained experience in special effects makeup and working behind the lens. Upon graduation I emerged myself in musical theater and opera as a singer and choir member, fulfilling my other passion: music. It was this world which cultivated my love of fantasy through stage makeup and characterization. I took this experience and joined the fabulous world of M.A.C. Cosmetics, starting as a retail makeup artist and finishing as a top performer and Senior Product Specialist after five and a half years.
Soon after my time with M.A.C., I became the key makeup artist, hair and wardrobe stylist for one of the leading print/DVD/web publishing companies in South Florida for four years. I learned a lot about production, adding hairstyling and Hi Definition techniques under my belt. It was during this time that I met pinup photographer Janette Valentine of Terribly Girly Photography in search of a different creative outlet. I have been involved with her team of pinup goddesses ever since, having been featured in various TV shows and local print news.
Furthermore, I am proud to be partnered with Artistic Impressions by Riviera Bridal company. I am currently represented in my fashion print work by Belle & Company Professional Artist Management in Miami Beach, FL. Adding airbrush makeup to my résumé, I aspire to become a well-rounded artist and continue to perfect my craft. My goal is to work with an inspiring caliber of photographers, filmmakers, wardrobe and hair stylists with whom to complement my artistic vision.
