Formed in 2002 by former Faith Assembly member Megan Erben Smidt (Vocals) and guitarist/keyboardist Craig smidt (Vocals/Guitars/Synths), Kiss the Star has been in hiatus for the past two years. Meg has worked with many of the American Synthpop stars such as Midihead of Monolithic and Joey Belville of the Echoing Green. Craig is best known as the creator of Electroculture Magazine and as a feature article contributor and liason for the Electrogarden Network. Meg and Craig also formed Kiss My Asterix Records, which is now owned and operated by Section 44 Records, having discovered such talents as rising Synthpop stars the Alphabet Girls.
Kiss the Star plans to release an album by 2008.
Brian Hazard of Color Theory has been a major contributor to Kiss the Star providing his keyboarding, piano and production talents.
