Born in Toronto, Canada, Kitana Major also known as Ponytailz, (a name given to her from Toronto video director Little X) got a jump start by performing as a dancer for well known celebrities since 2002.

Kitana Major has performed and has won over 35 competitions held in Toronto. She has worked alongside many of the hottest industry choreographers such as Diane Webley, Luther Brown (SYTYCD, Mario, Keshia Chante), Jae Blaze (Black eye Peas), Fatima Robinson (Aaliyah, Rihanna), Hi Hat (Missy Elliot, Ciara), Tanisha Scott (Sean Paul, Shaggy), Laurie Ann Gibson (Day 26, Cassie, P.Diddy) and many more.

Best known as a rapper, freestyle dancer, choreographer and performer, she has been titled one of the best female entertainers not only in Canada but now worldwide.

To date she has been featured in over 28 music videos for superstar artists such as P.diddy, Rihanna, Dmx, Sean Paul, Lenny Kravitz, Benzino, Tweet, Fabolous, Rochester, Daniel Bedingfield and many more.
Her talent has landed her a spot on major international tours around the world for mega superstars.

In 2002 she became an international household name from a dance move she created called "The Ponytailz" which was featured in Sean Paul's "Gimme the light" music video. The dance itself became extremely popular that even Mega Super Star “Beyonce” took notice and featured the “ponytailz” move in her “Baby Boy” music video.

Since then she has been featured in major films such as "Honey", "Take The Lead" and "How She Move" and has made several guest appearances on major television networks such as BET, MTV, CTV, TRL, MUCH MUSIC, MOBO British Music awards, BET 106&Park, 2008 MMVAS and was recently chosen as a hip hop "Made" coach on MTV Canada. All while under the given name of “Ponytailz”.

Kitana Major is now recording her EP/demo, and has already created a major international buzz with the new sound of Hip Pop/Rock/Swagg, a new genre created on her sound and style of music.
Things began to take off when her debut single was picked up for 3 years by MTV.
Her music titled "Bump Bump" was recently featured on a MTV episode titled "Dan Levy's Sweet 26th party" which debut in late 2009.

Kitana Major has also been titled the "face" of Toronto comic company "Heroes of the world" and is now featured in comic magazines everywhere.

Winning the hearts of many celebrities including Ciara, LL Cool J and Sean Paul, Kitana Major has been rated "The Superstar on the rise". Superstar rapper LL Cool J has made reference to her as being “extremely talented” and R&B songstress Ciara quoted her as being “so dope’.

When asked the question, “what message do you hope to send using your music?” She responds with “I just want to make people dance; I’ve always been the kid that loved seeing people happy. I believe in doing what you love despite what people tell you.”

It is only a matter of time before her talent is shared worldwide.
