The Kitchen is a full-blown auditory phenomenon and is built to satisfy all types of musical appetite. Making its home in Vancouver, BC, the band is made up of five equal parts; each coming together to deliver a truly impressive sonic explosion that has been tearing up stages for the better part of two years.
Drawing from a wide range of diverse musical genres, The Kitchen combines bullet-proof rhythmic grooves with an irresistible sense of melody and lyricism. This rock and soul colored funk delivers a powerful punch with a splash of jazz and a strong undercurrent of social commentary; leaving the booty shaking and the mind churning.
Having independently released their self-titled debut in March of 2006, The Kitchen has a reputation for captivating crowds and moving dance-floors with their unique and infectious music. Rocking stages across the Lower Mainland, over to Vancouver Island and into the interior of BC, the band has shared the spotlight with a handful of Vancouvers premier acts, including: Stabilo, Freeflow, Threat From Outer Space, The Winks, and Chi Turner.
