What do you do if you are in Australia and you loose your love and all your money without a chance of getting it back? What do you do if there is a fire burning in your soul, telling you where to go and you just can't help it but follow its directions? What do you do if Waynes World is on TV on a lazy summers afternoon? (Except watching it, of course.) The four Berlin youngsters of KiteALike answer this question without missing a beat: You write a song about it and make it feel like Pulp Fiction starring an orchestra on surfboards. With their fresh, pop-ish songwriting, the hammering beat of the city and the fun sound of the sun rising on a new horizon they cover topics from motivational instructions on a James Bond poster to long distance relationships, from Berlin rush hour traffic to dancing on a caribbean beach. As you hear the music you can almost see the story it tells. It is a story of life, love and trying to find your own way in a world that's going crazy since 1902: Slightly scary but fun, exciting and always with a little bit of a tongue-in-cheek attitude. A story that could help cure a broken heart or discover new ways to use your radio. KiteALike are currently playing Berlin City and will be playing at the second round of the worldwide Emergenza festival in May. Also their first EP reached the final stages of production and will be out soon.
