Perth DJ/Producer Kit Pop’s latest mix CD “Make It Loud” is less cross-genre mixing like his last effort “Pill bits and biters” and more straight up party music. The 23 track mix is more along the line of Kit Pop’s live show, giving only what hardcore club kids love–dope party music. “Make it Loud” was recorded in Winter of 2008 but sounds eerily like Summer music, with sunny tracks from N.E.R.D and Debbie Deb that Kit Pop has remixed, reworked and thrust into the dance mix. With everybody but DJ’s working as DJ’s making mashups and mixes is hard to stand out. While “Make It Loud” probably won’t distinguish Kit Pop from mashup DJ’s like Girl Talk and Diplo the mix is still fun and worth a listen. And how much music is even worth that? ....ART NOUVEAU MAGAZINE... .. .. .. .. .. ..WORDS ON 'PILL BITS & BITERS'.. .. .. "Are you in dire need of a new pre-party hype-up mix? Kit Pop’s “Pill Bits & Biters” has come to save the day. This CD is perfect to pop in during the pre-party at a homies house as you coordinate your moves for the evening, or riding in the whip as you slowly creep past all the beautiful bodies the night has to offer. After listening to “Fly,” there’s no looking back, because it will stimulate you into a dancing frenzy making it a long night of partying that only ends two hours after the sun has come up. A warning - make sure the CD isn’t in your car after you’ve taken the walk of shame from that strangers house, because if it is, it’ll make you want to do it all over again right there, and you’ll never go home." ..URB MAGAZINE... .. .. "Nu-rave sucks. Old rave was horrible too so why would anyone think digging up that decomposed corpse of a donkey, dressing it up in some fluro and going out every night and flogging the shit out of it is going to somehow bring it back to life and draw attention away from the fact that you are pretty much listening to house music and are, in actuality, quite gay. Please stick your electro-techno-indie-rave-mashup crossover-remixes up your ass and call it a day.
