Art in pretentious bad taste: that's what kitsch means and that's what Kitsch do. Pure rock in its most anthemic form, period. They didn't sell their souls to the current trends or to the music industry "requirements", none of this capitalism trash. What you hear/see is what you get. And if we love it, I'm sure some other people will as well! And you?
Kitsch started out as a solo project by guitarist/singer/songwriter/producer and Berklee College Of Music Alumnus Edo Faiella. After graduating, Edo went to Italy and began incorporating his passion for dance music and music technology into his pop rock songwriting. Drummer Mario di Napoli immediately jumped in adding his darker influences to the sound. After spending several months in London, in 2006 the duo recorded a 6-track album, the MirrorBall Ep, and after recording 4 new tracks in February the MirrorBall Ep turned into Let the Show Begin, a full-length studio album released in 2007 through all major online retailers.
In June 07 basser Lucio Pietrangeli joins Kitsch to complete the line up. The trio have spent several months in Berlin working on new tunes and gigging around the city, and relocated to London in early 2008 where they've been honing their live performance playing legendary venues such as the Halfmoon Putney, Bull & Gate, Hope & Anchor, Lark in the Park, Bar Academy to name a few. In july 2008 the band entered the studio to record Where Our Worlds Collide, the second full length studio album, mastered at Sterling Sound Studios in ny by Chris Athens (Coldplay, Jeff Buckley etc), and are currently performing the new tunes during exclusive gigs in London before the album release, scheduled for early '09 on You And Whose Army? Records.

Awards: Kitsch recently took part to a band contest on slicethepie.com and finished 3rd out of 700+ bands, Edo won the golden trophy for best songwriter in the Canary Island Song Contest for the song Beautiful, and the track Burning in the Rain has been featured in a promo compilation on Lakeland Records Ltd (UK).
