As 2009 opens up, Aussie female singer-songwriter Kitto struts the stage barefoot, belting out intense songs developed during a career that’s seen her touring 34 countries around the world.
She’s wielded her guitar on stages from Tasmania to the North Pole and shared the bill with acts as diverse as Megadeath, Wilson Picket and Jacque Higgins. She joined Eskobar and Dionne Warwick on the Swedish TV gala ‘Abba The Tribute’ in 2004, toured the UK and Sweden as lead vocalist for Janis Joplin’s original band Big Brother & The Holding Company in 2006 and performed at the Edinburgh Festival in 2007. In South Africa, she’s played on Robban Island where one of her heroes, Nelson Mandela, was incarcerated for 17 years. This January she headlined at the Pacific Rock Festival in Tahiti, French Polynesia
Along the way she’s recorded in the USA, Europe and Australia. Her third album, Over Sensitive, featured musicians like Slash’s Snakepit bassist Johnny Griparic and Suicidal Tendencies’ guitarist Dean Pleasants and was produced by Michael Vail Blum in Los Angeles, released in UK 2007. Her earlier albums include Precious Junk (2004) and Princess Of Tragedy (2002). Kitto recently completed EP "Unlearn Your Generation" with producer Chips Kiesbye (Millencolin, Hellacopters SWE ). EP is released spring (2009) via Sound Pollution.
According to Australia’s Beat magazine: “Only the immense, poetic beauty of Kitto’s lyrics can match her strong vocals. This is an artist with veracity, talent and a spirit that shines with intensity.” For a true sense of what Kitto is all about, you can listen here at my space or www.whosjack.com

Hey there chickie, actually dropping a visual comment, usually slack and don't, but I dew drop in! ;-) I miss our friend immensly (sp?), I know he's flying round us, i can feel it. I'm pretty lost without him, when times get screwed or tuffer than anticipated,he'd always have an answer, when I want to have a bitch, a whinge, just a yack, he'd always be there to answer, without judgement. Geez I loved him, ok my lovely, I must nickoff for now, but I will always check in to see where you're at, love to you, always. XXX Rob
OZRadioMAG is a FREE Street press magazine available in shops, libraries, community centres around Australia (and now also in parts of Europe). The magazine features reviews and interviews in Australian Entertainment, as well as a variety of Australian related articles. As our popularity grows, the Magazine continues to grow as well. Starting off as a small online Magazine in late 08, the magazine quickly took off in popularity in Australia (as well as the United Kingdom) especially after the first free printed street press.
