Born and bread in Portsmouth, Kizmit put their unique twist on 'popular' music. Previously supporting the likes of Jack Peñate, Dodgy, Kid British and Eddie and the Hot Rods. Kizmit have a 'hard hitting' attitude that is rivaled by few. .. .. Take high octane performances mixed with sonorous vocal harmonies, add a sprinkle of catchy melodies and a pinch of guitar solos and you will start to understand the atmosphere this band creates. Put all this together with some social lyrical flair and a topping of unforgettable rhythms and you have yourself the musical image that is Kizmit. With a South-East UK 'Teaser Tour' in Spring 2009, Guilfest appearances in '08 and '09, and a single release due Spring/Summer 2011, this band are heading for great things...

Sounds Like
There is no pigeon hole for these guys, so unique is their sound. The best I can do is speculate on some possible influences. They have ska/punk elements underlying the beats and chord progressions but the 3-part harmonies the front men present are sometimes reminisscent of the Beech Boys and other artists from that era. It sounds weird, I know, but it does work I asure you. Put all this with a healthy amount of more-recent rock and indie acts such as Oasis and Blur and you have an interesting melange that just wouldn't work if anyone else was playing it. .. ..
