About me:

Hmmm, what's there to say? I'm a paradox of sorts. I'm a creature of fierce independance that craves the company of others often. I love attention, but need to be left alone. I've been very nomadic in my life, going from job to job, band to band, trying to find something that sticks.

I love to perform for people. Playing my drums with a band of like minded individuals is very theraputic to me. I'M AN ANAL-RETENTIVE, OCD ASSHOLE, but still manage to be the nice guy you want to take home to Mom. I'm a true friend. I go out of my way for those around me even though it costs me dearly at times. I hold grudges. Once jaded, I can't go back to the way things were.

I'm not here to date or find love. Been there, done that. Currently in the process of, and she's the most annoying, stubborn, bull-headed brat ever, yet I can't think of a better way to spend my day than fighting with her sometimes. She gets me and my odd nature. She shares my sense of humor, in all it's perverse and retarded glory. She supports me and all my musical endeavors. And best of all, she has the cutest, smartest, most gifted 2 year old on the face of this planet; my little drummer in training.

Music is my life. There's no better feeling than being on stage, giving it all you got. I play the drum set, various percussion instruments, sing, write lyrics, compose, engineer, and produce, run sound, and more.

If you want to know more about me than that (and I pity such curiosity, truly I do), just message me and ask. That is the point of all this after all.

..

Who I'd like to meet:

Thomas Lang, Neil Pert, John Bonham (r.i.p.), Vinnie Paul, Mike Portnoy, Danny Carey, and Josh Freese just to name a few.

    Hello!

I just wanted to stop by to say hello and give you a little update on what Blood Root Mother is up to! We will be recording an EP of new music in August, and we recently finished recording a live DVD. The DVD is currently unreleased and I actually just saw it for the first time yesterday. It features the last two performances with Tony Ellis still alive, and some footage from the tribute show we played on the night of his funeral.

There are some cool covers, as well as some NEW music that will be on our upcoming EP. We're very excited about the new music and we'd like to share a sneak peak with you. Here's a video of a tune called Run Bobby Run:

Let us know what you think!

    Peace,
    Elliot

    What's up?

Just stopping by to show some love :-)

We appreciate that you're doing your own thing and glad that you're our friend!

I wanted to share an insight that I had recently. Blood Root Mother really believe in the power of music. Genuine music transcends all limitations and boundaries, and happens when musicians and listeners are communicating with one another on the deepest level possible. In a society overcome by an obsession with flashy images and stale radio hits, we seek to do something that shakes the foundation of the status quo. Since the dawn of human civilization, music has been about sharing humanity and truly connecting with others. So stay connected with us, and join us on our journey.

    Peace,
    Elliot

The artistic activity does not lie in art itself as such. It penetrates into a deeper world in which all art forms flow together, and in which the harmony of soul and cosmos in the nothing has its outcome in reality.
