    A baby!!!! CONGRATS!!! Awesome update!

Aren't edits a hoot. I am waiting on the edits for book two to arrive-should be any day now. That (ABENDLIED) is due out in October of 2009. Cover is in production now. I returned from a conference and signing in Boston about two weeks ago and it was such fun! Attending another in May her in ME.

MADRIGAL I suspect will be released in eBook when book two comes out--possibly. I will need to touch base with my editor on that. Seems like a great option to me!

    Hugs!

::Smacks you with the edits to book two::

Can an author tell her readers to get on the stick? Or is the unprofessional? LOL!!!

All is well. My edits for book two should be in my hands by the end of Feb. I am told ABENDLIED will be an Oct 2009 release. I am gearing up as well to head to the New England Conference for the RWA. Have you been to any yet? I will be pitching one of my historicals to an agent there and am knee deep in polishing that up.

What is new on your end?????

I'm not going to lie...I'm concerned for our country. If Obama follows through with his original plans, something wicked this way comes...I hope I'm wrong, but I just can't see it.

Interests

  • General

Frenzied fiction writer, avid art docent, vindicated volunteer (PolarisProject.org), domestic diva, proud pet parent, wacky wonderful wife, and...manic marveling mom.

I write historical romance, literary short stories, poetry, the occasional fundraising letter, and YA fiction. Currently I have a Western romance novel in the preliminary stages with a small press, a Historical (Regency era) for Harlequin's new Undone line in the works, and on my WIP long list: a YA series I am uber passionate about but don't quite have the time for just yet.

  • Music

Lately, something both me and my four month old son can agree upon--his taste is so discerning! So far including: Ella Fitzgerald, Mozart, Jewel Lullabies, Loreena Mckennitt, Starbucks Jazz compilation, and certain hip hop songs lol!
  • Movies

Recently revisited Becoming Jane. Love the movie even though once again I was duped into believing that maybe there could be a happy ending....argh. My other complaint (besides wanting to rewrite history) is that the wonderful dynamics between hero and heroine could be more drawn out. This film, though beautifully done, was ruthlessly edited, to where the few magical scenes between the inspired duo were relatively meager. Maybe such deprivation on behalf of audience is a poetic effect considering it reflects Jane's life. Hmmm...but now that is the ironic rub.

  • Heroes

My husband. My son. Polaris Project (polarisproject.org) for all of the stolen and broken lives they save. And, last but not least, any female who has survived sexual abuse and who dares to come out of the closet of victimhood and SPEAK! It takes bravery to speak amidst blame-the-victim naysayers (abusers in their own right!) and against the threat--both internal and external- of the sexual predator who not only stole their innocence but kept them in fearful silence.
