Wut up, my name is “Kavy,” I've been making music since age 11. Desiring to contribute to the more “realistic” side of hip-hop, Most of my lyrics emerge from struggles within the work force, social separations, race issues and different aspects of society. My music is very different from other hip-hop artists, because it relates to others on a general level. The style and lyrics represent everyday life, making money, bling and women exclusions, and instead, making music for all genres and people to listen and relate to. My influences range from the soulful singing voice of my mother, to Kurupt, Gnarls Barkley, The Jokerr and Big L. My extremely influential music is utilized as an outlet for my emotions; an outlet I strongly feel a need to bring to audiences everywhere, in order to convey emotions among society. I've hit the stage with artists such as KRS1, Rick Ross, Flo Rida, Apollo (unsigned hype in the Source Magazine) and The Jokerr. My debut album; “The Last Attempt,” was recorded at The Jokerr’s Lair Studios, and has been making noise with it’s humorous, yet blatantly true single, “Stereotype.” I've recently inked a deal with Rawkus Records & will be featured as one of the 2008 Rawkus 50 artist In the future, I want to be known mostly for evoking emotion through my music, I am also in the process of owning my own record label, where I’ll represent other artists who care about the same issues I do. Already making a mark in doing so, I've been featured on hip-hop station, Power 98.3 “Friday Night Flavas,” both in 2006 for their 6th anniversary, and more recently, in 2007 where I ripped a freestyle you can catch on this site, www.myspace.com/kkkavy. In addition to that, i've been featured in MYFM in 2006, XPOZ Magazine’s February 2007 issue- noted as being the next up and coming artist, 'Whats the juice' magazine from ATL, Billboard magazine & performed at the 2007 billboard awards. I'm more than just a rapper who spits conscious rhymes; I'm a fucking person with real struggles. I'm not afraid to voice the ills in society, and don’t hide behind the luxurious lifestyle, or claim to be anything I'm not. For these reasons alone, I'm a true lyricist complete with all the makings, and more importantly, the passion, to make a difference. Peace
