'21st century genius', music producer, composer, recording artist, geek..
just who or what is KK?
KK (Kevin Kerrigan, but easier to spell) forged his
unique sound working as a studio wizard with an eclectic range of collaborators, from Bjork
to Brian Eno.
The versatile Brit then lent his esoteric talent to a number of pop acts, including Dido,
Britney, Natalie Imbruglia, James, Yusuf Islam and KT Tunstall, before moving on to craft music for film (notably working with James
Newton Howard), TV, and even a circus!
Eno once described KK as 'an
alchemist' - his inventive work is indeed a steampunk hybrid. A rich
tapestry of experience behind him, maestro KK conjours original musical treasures with the
imagination and flair of a virtuoso.
KK recently produced Mediaeval Baebes' sixth
studio album 'Illumination'. Other releases range from bestselling children's
album Lullaby (with Zero 7's Sophie Barker)
to horror boxset Raw Fear. Expect the unexpected. .
The Magic Lantern by KK and The Steampunk Orchestra is out now on deluxe CD from Amazon or KK's website (with free worldwide delivery).. iTunes/Mp3 version out: Nov 27
For each new morning with its light, For rest and shelter of the night, For health and food, for love and friends, For everything Thy goodness sends. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
